Founded by Academician Xie Xiaoliang, Professor Huang Yanyi, and Dr. Chen Zitian, all colleagues from Peking University, CYGNUS is a high-tech enterprise integrating research and development, transformation, production, and marketing of gene technology.
Headquartered in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area, it has applied for more than 100 Chinese and PCT international patents, and its core pate nts have been authorized in the United States.
The company has perfected its product production and R&D system; finished its production base for chemical and enzyme raw materials, GMP reagent workshop, instrument factory; and fully staffed a top-notch optical, fluid and algorithm team. Relying on the world’s two new core sequencing technologies, namely Fluorogenic chemistry and Error correction code (ECC) sequencing the company has continued to achieve technological innovations and built an independent, high-quality, and open gene sequencing platform.
