Located in Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province, with an area of 2,427 mu, Hebei University of Science and Technology (HEBUST) is formed from the merger of the former Hebei Institute of Light and Chemical Industry, Hebei Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Hebei Textile Workers College, and Hebei Textile Industry School. In 1956, higher education commenced in the university.
