The National New Energy Vehicle Technology Innovation Center (hereinafter referred to as "National Innovation Center") was approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology in March 2018, and is the first national new energy vehicle technology innovation center in the automotive industry. Focusing on the major needs of the country, with the overall goal of creating one "center", two "highlands" and three "platforms", the National Innovation Center focuses on the core technology innovation capability, the professional transformation capability of innovation achievements, the siphoning capability of innovation resources and the supporting capability of innovation platform, effectively solving the "real problems" and "big problems" involving the overall situation, and leading the technological innovation in relevant fields to make major breakthroughs. We will continue to build major sources of technology, hubs for transforming core achievements, and incubators for small and medium-sized enterprises.
The National Innovation Center is positioned as an important component of the national strategic science and technology force, with the research and development of key technologies of new energy intelligent vehicles as its core mission, the platform innovation organization form to build an industrial innovation ecology, demand-oriented to promote the industrialization of scientific and technological achievements, and market-oriented mechanism to stimulate the vitality of innovation and creation, based in Beijing, facing the whole country, radiating to the world. To become a world-class source of new energy intelligent vehicle technology innovation, to provide strategic support for the high-quality development of the region and the industry. Over the past four years, the National Innovation Center has explored the construction mode and development path of a national technology innovation center, focusing on R&D capacity building in key technology fields, testing capacity building in key technology fields, incubation and transformation ecosystem construction, and innovation resource aggregation construction. It has identified four main business lines of scientific and technological innovation, capacity support, ecological operation, and value creation.
