Founded in March 2018 as one of the strategic government scientific initiative, the Chinese Institute for Brain Research, Beijing (CIBR, Beijing) mainly focus on brain science and brain-like intelligence technology development. CIBR conducts original research for understanding the fundamental principle of brain, solving major cognitive disorders, promoting intelligence development and performance of adolescent, developing brain-like intelligence technology and constructing general technical assistance facilities and biological-medical resource databases.

　　北京脑科学与类脑研究中心成立于2018年3月22日，是北京市政府发起成立的独立法人事业单位，由市政府与中国科学院、军事科学院、北京大学、清华大学、北京师范大学、中国医学科学院、中国中医科学院七家单位联合共建。注册和办公地址位于北京市昌平区中关村生命科学园科学园路26号院。中心职能任务是围绕共性技术平台和资源库建设、认知障碍相关重大疾病、类脑计算与脑机智能、儿童青少年脑智发育、脑认知原理解析五方面开展攻关，实现前沿技术突破，在脑科学与类脑研究领域产出一批重大原始创新成果，成为国际一流的脑科学与类脑研究研发机构。
